Mobile Financial Management App Reviews

I updated to Quicken 2016 today and I thought I would try the Quicken mobile app for iPhone. It was easy to set up and load all the data from my PC to the Quicken cloud. When I logged into the app and it synced the accounts, two out of three accounts displayed the incorrect balance. I was hoping it would display my investments, but that feature is not available. You are better off to use your banks app on your mobile device. There is no functionality on this app at all, you cant transfer funds and the account balances were off by over a thousand dollars. Dont waste your time with this app.

I have been using this for over a year and have been very pleased with the way it functions. This is not going to be exactly like the full version. It is an app that allows you to quickly get a glimpse of your finances when you need to, and that is all. If you dont sync the mother program with this one, you wont get a true snapshot of you finances. There is an old computer saying, "garbage in, garbage out".

I have used this app for a long time with moderate success. After updating 5/3/2016 the app is useless. I have tried deleting an reloading the app. When I then try to sync with my bank (Wells Fargo) The app crashes and then will no longer come up. What happened in this release???

This is a welcome improvement over the previous mobile app for Quicken 2013. The recording of expenditures is much improved and easy to do plus when you select the credit card to use the input for transactions automatically fills the correct card. Also the app syncs with Quicken 2016 without having to sign into the cloud each time. Now if Quicken or whomever has purchased Quicken keep updating the app as needed, this will be a hard act for other mobile financial softwares to follow. 05.06.16 - follow up comment after using for awhile. Dont make a mistake while entering cost data. You cant correct it once you save the entry even if it hasnt synced with the cloud. You were able to delete an entry and input it again with correct data on the old app. However, now you have to wait until you sync with the desktop and then correct it. Not user friendly!!

I think it attempts to execute downloads from banks and doesnt know how to synchronize things. If you delete the mobile data and reload it, things kinda work for a while then quit again. Too bad because its a fairly decent money app.

App wont start after update. Only see the quicken logo and then crashes on iPad mini 4. Also have issues where Im periodically logged out of the app and it forgets my passcode and touchid settings. This causes a security issue if I forget to enable them again after logging in.

I didnt think they could make it worse, but I guess the jokes on me.

It works as advertised, however, older versions allowed it to be used like a check register and I preferred that since I dont download info from my bank. I use it often so our I get my moneys worth.

This app always has incorrect information for my budget. It also does not update with changes. It is very in-superior to Mint. Seems like the tyre the app together.

Im the first to criticize Quicken on the quality of their products, but this is solid release syncing to my to Quicken 2016. Not a single issue and like the UI. My only suggestion is to move the add transaction button to the bottom.

Almost every time I have to sign and re download. When looking to track things on the fly this issue kills its functionality.

Been using this app for a long time with mixed results. Interfaces with my various account would often break because of security protocols or other incompatible functions. Things seem to be stable now, but budget categories often dont quite sync right. Easy fix at desk top side. Time saver when away and you want to get things entered on the run. Now if they can just get the desktop Windows program stable!

I bought Quicken 2013 to use with the app of the same version, and today (5-8-16) learned that my Online Services have ended May 1. No advanced notice, and no indication up front that my purchase would expire. -- Deceptive Advertising -- -- Shameful -- -- You lost my business --

Ive given this app the benefit of the doubt way too many times looking past the negative reviews. I constantly have to log in to my accounts, and now it just shuts down immediately after launching. This app was a big factor in my purchasing the desktop software. Why release a mobile app if it consistently has bugs? At least hire a competent dev team to create something reliable. No wonder their support line is always backed up. Must be all the customer complaints.

Not acceptable

The new version of the app has WAY too many animations. Its distracting, ugly, and slow to use. Go back to the way it was please!

I thought I would give Intuit another shot even after the poor reviews Etc. but I can say it just doesnt work. After two days of refusing to update and when "editing your bank" is required it just dies. Some sort of uncaught exception I imagine.

Used to work. Now crashes constantly.

Need to make several changes to the app. Improve syncing, allow account name changes, allow to delete transactions, etc. Most of all the app wont even open up right now! Please update and fix ASAP! Completely useless right now!

The app was doing beautifully. Now today I saw there was a problem connecting to one of my credit card accounts. Right after trying to fix that the app is now crashing. Over and over and over.
